International Summer Course for Composers in Poland

The Music Gardens Foundation would like to invite young composers (up to 35 years old) from all over the world to participate in the International Summer Course for Composers SYNTHETIS 2015, which will take place in Radziejowice (near Warsaw) between 13 – 25 of July 2015.

The participants of this year’s edition of the Course will have an opportunity to attend lectures and individual meetings with such renown composers as Martijn Padding, Zhou Long, Simon Steen-Andersen and Philippe Manoury. In addition Paweł Hendrich will conduct workshops on computer-aided composition in relation to musical performance.

The Course’s events will be held in the Radziejowice Palace – beautiful palace complex surrounded by picturesque landscape, situated 50 km from Warsaw. The venue, originally dating back to the 17th century, thanks to its unique atmosphere, has become to function as a creative work home for artists, writers, musicians and painters.

International Summer Course for Composers SYNTHETIS, created and directed by Zygmunt Krauze, is a successful reactivation of the legendary composition courses initiated in 1980 by the Polish Society for Contemporary Music.
